Q: What intake could I add to my 2003 BMW Z4 to add the most power?
A: There are a number of air intake configurations available for your car. For a power chart specifically aimed at your vehicle, visit www.dinancars.com It is a website dedicated to aftermarket BMW parts which do not void the BMW factory warranty on new or certified pre-owned vehicles. Most BMW dealerships are Dinan Certified. Usually, nitrous oxide is not the way to go with a BMW engine. Mostly, superchargers are added instead. Other sources for a Z4 air intake are www.bavauto.com , www.bmpdesign.com Good luck with the change, and have fun!
Q: how do I take off the front tire of my 2003 bmw z4?
I am trying to change my brakes but I cant get the wheel off after I took off the five lugs
A: Kick the tire real hard from outside. It will come off.
Q: Where can I find a supercharger for my 2003 BMW Z4?
A: http://www.vf-engineering.com/
Q: i can't find the universal garage door opener in my 2003 bmw z4. is it just an option?
i want to program the universal garage door opener on my z4 however i can't find the buttons
A: You have to buy it and put it in. Your car is prewired for it, but it doesn't come from the factory with it.
Q: I have a 2003 BMW Z4... How Do I change the clock/time on my car?
I don't have the book anymore...
A: I don't have the same exact car, but go to menu, and it'll ask you change hour or change minute. You use the fade button that'll fade music from the front to the back to change the time. That should work. it took me a year to figure that out.
Q: Can the 2003 BMW Z4 run on regular non-premium gas?
A: I have a 2007 530i and I have ran tests on fuel mileage and performance . I compared Chevron 93 octane to an off brand 87 octane . Suprisingly, I found no difference in fuel economy or performance. However, I wasn't really pushing the car to its limits in the performance test because I was focusing mostly on fuel economy.
Neverless, I run the 92-93 octane because of peace of mind concerning long term problems and of course I should not worry about a few bucks in a $52,000 car.
Also, keep in mind that lower octane can be used in high elevation and cooler weather . So I use those times to occasionly fill the car with the lower octane fuel .
Q: Should I buy a 2003 BMW Z4 or a 2003 BMW 530i (they are the same price)?
A: It depends on what you're looking for, those are two totally different cars (convertible roadster vs. a luxury sedan). Personally I wouldn't get either as I think BMWs are rather overpriced and overrated, but that's not what you asked.
If this is going to be your only car, I wouldn't recommend the Z4 because it is not very pratical -- only seats 2, very little cargo room, probably fairly noisy since it's a convertible. Would be a fun second car, though. But if you're okay with these limitations, go for it. Only you can really answer that.
Q: Pros and Cons in going for a 2003 BMW Z4?
A: erm to be honest i would have to say i cant see why anyone would buy a Z4 (i even work at bmw and my boss would flip if he heard this but anyway) i would have to say if you want a fast beemer go for a m3 or summink like that in the 3series rangebut if you want a fast little roadster i would either have an mx5 or a s2000....... hope i can be helpful
Q: Should I get a used BMW z4 (2003) or a new Mini Cooper S?
A: Well, both are made by BMW, so good news! Each is a very nice car, but it all depends on what you want the vehicle for. Style, speed, classy, go with the Z4. If you plan on having to take people places, or needing the 4 seat and the practicality of the cooper, definitely go with that. Both are excellent cars, the z4 would be my choice just because I love their style. They aren't all that fast, and I am sure the Cooper S and z4 are not far off from overall acceleration. So basically, its up to what you are looking for in a car at this point in time :).
Q: Best way to modify a BMW Z4?
Just got a BMW Z4 2003.
Kind of old, but great mileage only 22k. How could I modify this car to sound a little more powerful, or give the engine a boost?
A: Exhaust; agency power, dinan, or magnaflow will get you around 10 HP, headers can get you another 5-7 HP and will get you a deeper sound. Intakes are good for around 6-9 Hp depending on brand... Under drive pulleys are very underrated, my cousin actually gained 9 hp by adding rogue engineering pulleys, they only cost around $300 too, so it's worth looking into. For appearance, you could also get some lowering springs to give it a more aggressive stance, and new brake calipers for stopping power and looks.
Those are the best mods, cheap, easy to maintain (unlike turbo or supercharger), and are easily removed should you sell the car.
Q: Bmw Z4, Honda S2000, or Mod my Z3?
Okay, here's the deal I love 2 seats sports cars, and while I'm not rich enough to buy any of the really nice ones new, I do have enough to buy a good used one...
I already have a 1996 Z3 1.9 (bought and paid for) ...the only problem is it lack balls.
So my choices are as follows...
2003-2005 Honda s2000
2003-2004 Bmw Z4
Modding my 1996 z3 with supercharger, suspension upgrades, and new rims?
Which would be the best choice?
A: I'm a HUGE BMW fan, but when it comes to this question, I say S2000. The engine inside (2.2L 240hp) is a phenomenal engine, one of the best high performance engines ever made. z4's are nice, S2000's are more rare to see, (in my opinion) hotter looking, and under the hood, unrivaled.
Q: 2007 Z4 coupe or a 2003 M3 CSL?
http://www.iceposter.com/posters/cars/BMW/BMW_Z4_Coupe_2007/A18064_BMW_Z4_Coupe_2007.html
http://www.iceposter.com/posters/cars/BMW/BMW_M3_CSL_2003/A17166_BMW_M3_CSL_2003.html
A: Do you know what a CSL is? Ultra limited production, ultra high performance, ultra exclusive. No radio, no AC, 300 lbs lighter than an M3, 20 hp more.
A Z4 is a very ordinary 2 seater, that loses in every category to lower priced alternatives like the S2000 or Elise.
Edit: Check out this video to see the league the CSL is in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkg_dn1ME9A
Q: BMW Z4 Question?
How much does the BMW Z4 cost (2003 model) Ive sold my RX7 for 25K and im gonna sell my tuned up Civic

Q: Should i buy a BOXSTER, Z4 or SOLSTICE?
i have just under $23,000 canadian and with that money i can buy a used 2000 porsche boxster with 122 000 km on it or a 2003 bmw z4 with 74 500 km on it. or the 2006 pontiac sostice the one my dad wants me to get but i prefer the porsche. he says porsche is too old and too costly to maintain and he doesnt like bmws he says solstice cause its new and only has 14 000 km on it but i think the old boxster would still be able to out perform the solstice and will be worth more than it by next year. but my dads says if i follow all the rules of the streets i wont need speed or race performance i wud just need a good looking car at this age(16).
what do you guys think who have experience with convertibles
i see what my dad is saying about me being 16 and shouldnt worry about brand power and performance but i dont want a short end of the deal.
thanks alot for ur input
A: The only one you could even come close to being able to afford the maintenance/repairs on would be a Solsice and even that may be pushing it.
I would go with a car you can actually afford rather than trying to impress people by buying a used luxury vehicle to give off the impression that you have more means than you actually do.
Q: Will buying non-runflats make our Gieco insurance go up? Or can they deny our claim?
We recently bought a 2003 BMW Z4 3.0 w/ sport pack. We need to replace the rear runflat tires (255/35/18) but we don't want another set of runflats. Could our Geico insurance go up because of this? Could they deny our claim if something happened as a result of the non-OEM tires? I can't find anything in our policy about it.
A: I doubt any claims would be denied unless there is something specific in your policy about keeping OEM equipment on the car. That beings said you should rethink putting non runflats on the rear only. I have a car with runflats ( Cadillac CTS-V) and another car with no spare tire from the factory with only a can of sealant/ inflator ( Lotus Elise) . The properties of run flats vs. non runflats makes it a bad idea to the two types on a car. Just as one should NEVER EVER put two different brands or types of tires on the same car. Putting runflats and non runflats on a car will mess up the handling of the car due to the huge difference in sidewall stiffness etc between the two types.
