Q: How to pair a bluetooth phone with 2005 bmw x5?
My bluetooth phone cannot find my X5. Do I need to do anything on my X5 for my phone to find it?
A: This site should help:
http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Owner/BMWAssist/HandsFreeCalling.aspx
Q: Where is the flasher relay located in the 2005 BMW X5?
My turn signals are working. But my hazards are not when I press the button. I could not locate a fuse for the hazards either.
A: There is no flasher relay per se, the way that old cars have.
All the lighting functions are controlled by the light check control module (LCM). It is integrated with the light switch on the left hand side of the dashboard.
If the turn signals work but the hazards do not, either the hazard switch is disconnected or faulty, or the LCM is bad.
Q: I am trying to sell my BMW X5 2005 , wat are the best places to sell and what should I do ?
This car has got whatever you want(excluding GPS). Still has one year warranty from BMW.
A: Sell it on Craigslist.org for free or Try Ebay.
Q: does anyone know the width of an X5 2005 bmw in comparison to x5 2007?
Also can I take the tow package off my 2005 X5 and put it one the new X6
A: 2007: 76.1 inches
2005: 73.7 inches
Q: Why power door locks not working on 2005 BMW X5?
Remotes and key opens locks. But the power door lock button inside does't open or close the locks.
A: In most instances, the switch/button is defective (except for the rare occasions when the wires connected to the switch got detached).
While the switch may go bad by itself, oftentimes its demise is brought about by spilled coffee, softdrinks, or water.
Q: BMW X5,4.4i 2005 Damage?
I was recently in a small fender bender with a 2005 BMW X5,4.4i, the collision was my fault. The hit was very light but the BMW did have a small scratch and some paint on its rear bumper. Also, the rear back sensors are no longer working. Can someone please give me an idea of how much it would cost for the repairs to the BMW?
A: Hi
I was involved in a bump involving a Audi a4 and it was a minor bump. Could only just see the scratched paint on bumper. The repair bill came in at over £900 including labour as they still charge while the paint is drying. They also cannot work for more than a certain amount of time involving the paint but still charge if they were!
I know its not the same car but gives you an idea!
Q: I am interested in purchasing a 2005 bmw x5, is this a reliable "SAV"?
A: When buying a pre-owned BMW, try to buy a Certified Pre-owned BMW from a BMW dealer. These come with a 6yr/100,000 mile warranty. No doubt a 2005 model will also have some free maintenance as well, which you can extend at additional cost for worry free driving.
BMW currenly has 2.9% financing on 2005 models and they will also make your first 2 payments if you finance with BMW financial services.
Now go get your 2005 X5!
Q: Where is the flasher located in a 2005 BMW X5?
A: Are you talking about the hazard lights or to flash your headlights? The Hazard light flasher is between the two air vents in the middle. To flash the headlights you should just have to pull the headlight control stalk.
Q: I am trying to figure out how to tow with my 2005 BMW X5.?
The manual says its equipped for towing, however, it doesent have a trailer hitch on it.
A: You will need a tow hitch receiver installed on your SUV, around $250-600 depending on the type you get. Do not exceed the tow ratings in the owners manual, do not use cruise control, or overdrive while towing. You will also have to follow the maintenance procedures underlined in your owners manual under extreme operating conditions. Change the oil every 3,000 miles, transmission fluid every 55,000 miles and you shouldn't have any problems from your vehicle
Q: my bmw x5 2005 makes a is?beeping noise every 20 min or so when I'm driving. You know what miht be causin?
A: Take it too the garage it sounds like a warning signal.
Q: Is the Nokia n96 mobile phone fully bluetooth compatible with a BMW X5 (05 model)?
I'm looking to buy a new Nokia n96 mobile phone and need to know if it's fully bluetooth compatible with the comms package of my BMW X5 (2005 model). Anyone?
A: No , it is not fully compatible.
You will probably find that the phone will pair, however you will in time (if not straight away) have problems with calls and also accessing phonebook. These faults will be sporadic in occuring.
It's a common misunderstanding that everything "Bluetooth" must be compatible with another Bluetooth component.
To date the best phone in my experience is the Nokia 6300 which is listed as tested and compatible by BMW.
The reason for these issues is the sheer number of different phone models/software levels and the fact the phones companies such as Nokia don't want to co-operate with BMW during the development stages.
Q: Will BMW E36 leather front seat fit in a 2005 x5 without modification?
A: No. Modification is required to retrofit a e36 seat in a e53 x5. First there is size of the actual seat and different seat rail bolt down lcoations, there a simply not the same. You would probably have to modify or customize some sort of seat rail to the e36 seat and then resecure it te x5. Now that you have the seat in the car after 1st set of modifications now you have to modify the wiring. Take into consideration airbag lights from the seat occupancy that is now missing from the x5, and also your airbag might work properly, if at ALL. Also if the X5 has electric seats, and or heated seats these used to be options might not be available to you anymore. E36 wiring schematics are different from a E53 wiring. Please take into consideration if wiring mods are done incorrect and wiring harness or connectors get burned that could cost you $1500-$4000 for a dealer to fix. The reason would be is because a complete wiring harness for a x5 is not cheap and consider the labor it would strip the interior to locate the burned section of wires and replace. The best thing to do is a get x5 seat even if it's a different year and still mods would probably be required such as different leather color. Not to be insulting as well, that won't look good, unless it's a E36 M3 sport seat and you are creating a autocorss, off-road type x5. I work at a BMW dealer, i've seen the nightmares that come through, and i mean electrical, where safety is the first considered.
Q: About to get a 2004 BMW X5 4.4i for first Car...HELP?
Well, my father agreed to getting me a 2004 or 2005 BMW x5 4.4i. The problem is I don't know if the cars have an ipod adapter? I have 4,000 songs on my computer and I'm unwilling to burn them all to CD's. Does the X5 have an Auxiliary port so I can buy one of those 90 dollar adapters by belkin or griffin to hook up to my car? Also, any major problems with both years of the X5.
Thanks!
*I'm soon to be 17
A: Yes you can buy the ipod adapter installation kit from BMW, ($150 + about an hour to install) but it will only work on vehicles without NAV, Optional CD changer or Sirius satellite radio and without the upgraded premium sound system.
The kit comes with 2 wire harnesses and an interface box. The interface box connects to the back of the radio with a cable that then runs to the glovebox. The connector in the glovebox is used to connect to your ipod. This cable will also charge your ipod.
Q: Should I buy a 2004 mercedes ml500 or a 2005 lexus rx330 or the 2004 bmw x5? Which is better?
A: depends much on what you need it for... these are 3 SUV's in different classes... the RX330 is somewhat of a compact SUV, like a luxury Toyota RAV4. The M-class is a medium-sized SUV, 5-seater only i believe, while the X5 is the biggest of the group and, i dunno what you're looking at, but that has a 7-seater configuration. it it's a 5-seater, then it oughta have loads of space. all three brands have high levels of luxury, performance and safety.
if you drive mostly alone and want an edgy, hip-looking car, the lexus. another upside of the lexus is that the brand seems to be able to keep its value high over the years.
if you drive mostly alone but need some space, then maybe the M-class is for you. it's also a brand that exudes timeless class.
if you really need the space (whether for people or for your own stuff), then go for the X5. it's also supposedly the best-performing of the bunch.
Q: should me buy BMW X6 or X5 or Audi R8 ?
Hi everyone !
i read some review where http://auto.hicar.us/2008/11/2005-bmw-6-series-review_14.html
and i'm wavering between buy BMW X6 and BMW x5 or Audi R8 . Can you give me some counsel ?
thank so much !
A: Wow Susan! I can't think of 3 vehicles that are any farther apart, as all 3 are completely different!
You either need an SAV like the X5 or you don't.
If you don't really need it - that leaves the X6 or the R8.
The link in your question brings me to a 6 series review. Did you mean a 6 series or an X6 as they are also two completely different vehicles.
You should first figure out what you want/need your vehicle for.
Schedule a test drive then decide what's best for YOU!
You'll get a lot of different answers from the people here, some good, some off the wall, some drenched in their own opinions.
But since you asked, I'd pick the X6. A friend of mine just got one and it's probably one of the most amazing vehicles I've ever driven.
It's much bigger in person than in pictures. But once you get behind the wheel and drive it, it handles better than some sedans I've driven!
