A: i would prefer a porsche 911 turbo. It has all wheel drive and more power than the bmw. If you want other people to be able to sit in the back seat, the bmw is the obvious choice.

A: You need a special service light reset tool. They have them at the dealer. haha I know.

Q: how easy is it to drive the new 2006 BMW M5 with the SMG transmission? is it as simple as driving an automatic


A: Dr. Troy, technically, the new M5's transmission is an automatic. It just has a manual feature (hence the SMG or sequential manual gearbox) so drivers can attain the feeling of driving a touring car or Formula One car. If you wish to access the SMG feature in the M5, put the a/t on "D" and swing the a/t stick to the left. Now you have the SMG accessed, and you have the option of shifting like Jacques Villenueve (current BMW Petronas F1 driver) using F1-style paddles (pull to upshift, push to downshift) behind the steering wheel. Or, if touring cars are your thing, then you can shift the a/t stick manually by pulling the a/t stick (for upshifts) or pushing down the a/t stick to downshift to a lower gear. Just don't forget that accessing the SMG feature requires putting the M5's a/t on "D" and pulling the said stick to the left. It will indicate on the dashboard-based gear indicator if you're on normal a/t mode or you're in SMG mode. Also, if you fail to select the proper gear (say, you're doing 60 mph, and you're approaching a stop sign, you downshift from fourth to first gear like crazy and learn that you've only downshifted to second gear), the SMG does the downshifting for you. Kinda like the CVT in other compact cars, for your convenience.

A: 911 turbo is well beyond the other two in performance and it's effectively a 2 seater. Top speed 198 mph, I think it has the edge in this group. The M5 is one of two BMWs I don't think are overrated and it's an awesome car. I drove a 2003 model so I know. But the 2003 911 turbo I drove was absolutely incredible.

Q: Which is better in handling cornners, 2006 BMW M5 or 2006 Audi RS6?


A: The BMW is the superior car, but it depends on the venue. The all wheel drive of the RS6 will do better on fast open tracks and the rear wheel drive BMW will clean it's clock on short tight tracks.

A: Well, standard would mean with the speed limiter on, which caps the m5 at 155. take it off and it'll do 206mph, and crush the evo (accellerates faster too and has similar handling even though it's heavier) If you're actually thinking of buying one, the m5 if you can afford it as it's a luxury car too, fast and practical. but you could get probably 4 1999 evo's for the price. Don't touch an old esprit with a bargepole, it's the car that gave lotus its acronym: Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious.

A: The 2006 M5 is super quick--they say 0-60 in 4.7, though I believe it is probably faster. There is no 2005 Skyline--R32 or otherwise.

Reason for these two cars is because they are roughly going for same price in mid-upper 70,000, and both are in decent supply in certified used with 5,000-7,000 miles.

The car I have now is worth 2000 dollers in the kelly blue book and I think it will be worthless to finish my payments. I got finaced by this bank and that is how I got screwed. I am paying very high car payments and want to change my car for a BMW. Do you think they will want my car for a trade in? Cuz I know I dont.

A: Devil woman...you are not going to get screwed on an M5 puchase. Why? There is only ONE price. MSRP. And that is what you will pay. Are you sure you mean M5? $90k? A: go for the one that is certified. 30K is not that much mileage for a bmw as long as it was maintained properly. I own a 06 acura, bought new 11/06. It has 58,000+problem free miles. I have it serviced regularly by a acura dealer.

My favorite BMW's are the 2001 BMW M5, 2004 BMW M3 CSL, 2005 BMW 330ci convertible, 2006 BMW 760Li, 2006 BMW 650i convertible. And those cars would be perfect for me if they were all black and the 2004 BMW M3 CSL and 2001 BMW M5 were tuned up for street racing my 760Li would be my luxurious car that just says i have more money than you my 330ci convertible and 650i convertible would be the cars I travel long distances whats your favorite BMW? And what would you use each one for. I also love Maybach's because they are the most laxurious cars ever and for all you people that don't know BMW made Rolls Royce, Land Rover Range Rover i don't know which you call it and Maybach made mercedes so these german cars are all related and it's sad that i don't know this but i don't know what country makes land or range rovor but it's probably german.

Here my problem, I am in the market for a new car but cant choose. I have narrowed my searcyh to these three vehicles, 2006 Charger SRT8, 2003 BMW M5, and a 2003 Audi RS6. my heart is kind of set on the audi, but I don't know if it will be a wise decision, so please help and sway me in the right direction.

A: I think that you should go for the 2003 BMW M5. It will smoke the audi and charger. Plus the M5 looks way better than the other two.
