A: Hey, the RS4 has a mean exhaust note too. The M3 and RS4 offer the same performance (0-60 in 4.8 s), while the IS-F, according to the website for lexus, does 0-60 in 4.9. The Mercedes is around there as well. The RS4 is probably your best choice for a daily driver, with the performance of the M3 and the space of a sedan, not to mention Audi's excellent Quattro AWD system. However, the Lexus is by far the most dependable luxury car brand out there. Mercedes screams mid-life crisis. The M3 probably has the best looks, but may not be the best choice for an only car. If it were up to me, I would pick the RS4

Q: Which color is best suited for 2008 BMW M3?
I am trying to order a brand new BMW M3. However, I can't decide which color I should get. Please tell me your opinion. 1. Alpine White body with Red Leather Seat 2. A: I love the Interlagos Blue, but dont know how it would look with red. I would go with Interlagos Blue, and Black leather seats. Also, Red with Red leather seats would look awsome. From your list, I would go with Black body with Red Leather Seats or the Red body with Black leather seats. (These two combo's look sportier) For a sophisticated look, go with the Apline White/Red Leather

A: i happen to own a 2005 M3 and right now its worth approximately $31,500, but i bought it for around $80,000. it was my primary car though, so it has lots of miles on it, thats pretty much why its value dropped so much, but i would say around $35K-$45K, depending on the options and condition of the car

A: 8,000 miles is considered new, not used. No New car has 0 miles. A Used car would be over 10,000 miles. $41,900 is pretty cheap anyway. It should cost $57,000.

should i give the car back and get a bmw 335i coupe or any other type of car that would match the performance of the m3???

A: I would agree with many of your anticipations. However, there are a couple of consequences I'd have with that. The new ///M3 and the new 335i are similar in performance I'll tell you that much. The 335i chomps on less gas, it's quieter, and also it's very luxurious. However, the downside is that the 335i is a tad slower than the ///M3 and it's not as loud. Also, if you would drive both cars, you would analyze and observe that the 335i doesn't give you that throttle response the ///M3 provides. It also doesn't turn as many heads nor does it have the exhaust noise as the ///M3. Hope this helps!~~~

Q: How would I be able to get 100 more horsepower out of a 2008 BMW M3 convertible?


A: I own an M3 and you can't get an additional 100hp out of the engine by chipping (6 hp) or exhaust or pulleys or a lightened flywheel. You can't run nitrous reliably on an M3 and certainly not a dry system. The only way to do it is by Turbo or Supercharger. Both of these will void your engine warranty. A turbo is most risky. Activeautowerkes has a good reputation of reliably boosting M3's. You can bump your engine up in stages (1-3) and here are the performance specs: Performance Specs Power : 525 BHP @ 7500 rpm Torque : 388 ft/lbs @ 5500 rpm 0 - 60 mph : 4.1 sec Top speed : delimited 1/4 mile : 12.1 sec @ 116 mph Boost Level : 9.0 psi It'll cost you $11k plus installation. 12.1seconds in the quarter mile isn't anything to sneeze about and would smack just about anything out there. End of next year I'm considering purchasing a new GTR...after all of the kinks are out. However, the chicks dig the m3...which is half the reason we buy cars anyway, heh?

A: It depends on the lease terms. (ie. the number of months, your down payment, your credit, and how much you plan to drive). A: Congrats on your E93, that's a mean car you've got there. Currently the only E93 exhaust I know of is the Active Autowerke system. It'll run you about $2,700 for the whole system, plus assuming you want the software to let it run at it's full potential it can be more. It'll provide somewhere around +15hp more than stock, it weighs 12lbs less than the stock exhaust, and it gives it that beautiful Active Autowerke sound. It will probably void your warranty, though. I'd wait a few months for the price to go down and more options to come out, though.

A: I see you live in Canada. I have two BMW's and live in America. Here, there are a combination of factors contributing to the cost of insurance. Where you live, vehicle type, driver record, age, and (ironically) credit history. Don't ask me why credit history factors in, but it does. Also, males pay more for insurance than females. In addition, your financial lender may require you to have full coverage as well as life insurance on you (so their loan gets paid off in case of your death or disability). The simplest answer to your question would be, "A LOT." As for a previous answer stating high theft on BMW's, I can assure you it would take a VERY professional high-end thief to be able to steal that car. The "key" is an encoded device pushed into a slot which changes code combinations each time it is used. The push button starter can't be bypassed because the key itself has the necessary encoding to complete the starting of the engine. Additionally, your BMW Business Radio can not be used after being disconnected from your car unless the unique code is known. If your car is stolen with the "key," it can be shut down through any BMW dealership by cancelling the unique computer coding in the key. Also, the GPS Navigation System can be used to locate your car in the event of theft. Most car thieves go for easy cars to steal such as the Japanese makes. I suggest you get to know at least 3 good Insurance Agents, and tell them your plans. You can give each one a list of vehicles you are interested in, and in return you'll find out what you'll be expected to pay without spending anything first. I hope this helps.

A: No, the offset figures are different. You cannot switch them around. They may physically fit, but will wreck your wheel bearings after some use.

A: That is funny that you asked, I just recently got my newest issue of Car and Driver magazine in the mail, and the featured issue is a comparison of the M3, Mercedes C63 AMG, and the Audi RS 4. In the article, the BMW won, but in my opinion it is becuase the editors of that particular publication are extremely biased (self proclaimed) to BMW. In their testing, the BMW was the cheapest (about 7K less than the Audi and 1K less than the Benz) but the Mercedes won in every performance category, and they said the Audi was the best all around car. The reason the Audi didn't win, they say, is becuase "being easy to live with and overall competence aren't good enough in this group". But they are mainly focused on performance. The Audi is the best overall car for luxury and ride comfort, the Benz is best overall for performance. RS 4: 420HP, 0-60mph in 4.5sec nearly 300lbs heavier than the M3 M3: 414HP, 0-60mph in 4.3 sec, the lightest in the group C63AMG: 451HP, 0-60mph in 3.9 sec, nearly 500lbs more than the M3. A: The m3 will run circles around the camaro. And remember, when the camaro comes out, priced at maybe 40k, there will be quite a markup on it bringing it closer to the price of an m3.
